GALLERY + GRADUATION

Well, it has been a couple of busy months, but they were worth it.

Last June, after a bit of tweaking, the Solent Illustrations students have hosted the Degree Show in the Illustration Studio for almost a week.

Then, after the degree show, there were plans for further exhibitions in London. At first, the Solent Illustration group hosted their stand at New Designers: Part 2 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. They did so well with their stand, that it was voted 'Best Stand'.

And just after New Designers finished, the Solent Illustration group has hosted their own exhibition at the Coningsby Gallery, London, only for a week.

 

Then, there was a big event that happened during the last week.

We were graduated. It's true. During the last week, The O2 Guildhall, Southampton played host to the graduation ceremonies of Southampton Solent University and I have attended the Thursday afternoon ceremony of the School of Art Design and Fashion.

Well, it has been three years, but the course was worth it.

 

Friday 26th May 2017

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT and DEGREE SHOW - UPDATE!

The final major project that I've been working on for eleven and a bit weeks has finally been completed. It was ready to be assessed, and from next week, I shall be tweaking the display a little.

Hopefully, the tweaking will be done by Friday 9th June for the private viewing of the Degree Show. So, here's a preview of the prototype display itself.

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT and DEGREE SHOW

The Wooly Bully Illustration Studio, part of Southampton Solent University School of Art, Design and Fashion, is to hold its degree show, starting from Friday 9th June 2017, until Thursday 15th June 2017, along with the other art departments at the Southampton Solent School, Castle Way, Southampton.

 

The exhibition will feature a special display of Al Welch's final major project, a comic book called "Coffee Blast!" and it will be set in a coffee shop, along with new characters. Work started on Monday 23rd January 2017, and hoping it would be completed by 12th May 2017.
